Re: Correct eccentric

Guys

Don't want to cause arguements, just looking for help and advice as I have never done this before!!!

To clear it up, I currently have..........

1986 Ford 302 Roller Block
347 stroker kit (SCAT 9000 crank, KB pistons etc etc)
Lunati Voodoo Cam
Cloyes Performance RollerTiming set 3 x keyways
I have no front cover yet
I have no fuel pump yet

I want to run a mechanical fuel pump and just need to know which Eccentric to purchase.................I think you guys have answered that for me...............(I think)!! I will buy the two piece eccentric, not sure where from.

Thanks for the advice

Martin

Re: Correct eccentric

Martin You didnt, but Kult posted the Cloyes part no's so by that you should know which one to get..... If its neither of those 2 no's, then I suppose its a crap shoot either way. (not unless the timing cover come into play)...

Re: Correct eccentric

2-piece eccentric and Cloyes 9-1138 or better.

David

PS: Some aftermarket cam manufacturers use a 7/16" bolt instead of the typical 3/8". Verify what size your bolt is to match-up. Otherwise, just open the bolt hole up with a 7/16" bit.

You're yelling again...

I was trying to get his attention. He seems like all young fellows these days, open the box and throw away the instructions. When mixing and matching, you have to follow the manufacturer(s) instructions to the letter.

A common source is a 'finishing kit' like already stated. Ones with the 2-piece eccentric include the Dura-Bond FKF-1 and the Comp Cams 235. Order anywhere you like - those are just examples.

I agree, especially with today's pump gas. Mechanical fuel pumps are old tech.
