408w Build Slow but Progress

My 351 Windsor block freshly back from the machine shop. It's bored .030 over and new cam bearings installed.

The old freeze plugs.

Freeze Plugs out and ready for paint.

Engine Painted Ford Blue

It is a slow build due to having limited funds.

And I haven't Chosen my parts yet still talking with a few people and trying to come up with a plan of attack. I just figure either way I go the engine block needed to be prepped.

I would wait to do any more work until your parts arrive. Your block should be tanked, de-scaled and inspected, but no machine work done until you have the parts and clearances determined. The purpose of machining is to fit your specific parts to the block. Hold-off until then.

Hi David,

I haven't ordered any parts. I've been talking with you about what combo to go with. I talked with the machine shop guy and he said he will be able to hone the block to the correct end play for the pistons. The block is good and it's been tanked.

Justin.
