OK as some know I'm a little thick skulled.
you can use an eps unit off of a GM car, guess fords don't use
them yet.
then you need a control box,, cost $65 + -
So when you do this swap do you keep the original steering wheel
and column and add the eclectric unit further down needing to
so some cutting of the tube?
Could this be used with the manual steering box on an older Ford
62 galaxie

Will this type of steering allow the wheel to return on its own after you make a turn?

The gear/motor assembly would have to be locked down tight or every time the motor tried to turn the shaft the whole column would try and turn.

Hey Steve,

Slow going. Just took off the fenders today and getting ready to paint the inside with Dupli-Color truck bed liner which everybody seems to be using since it leave hard finish. The front suspension is also completely out so I can install all new upper and lower controls arms with Granada Spindles.

My Rack and Pinion and yes it can be used with EPAS too!

Waid,

Give the U-pol Raptor liner a try. I sprayed a guys jeep tub with it. The stuff is nice and can be tinted if you want something other then black.

I'm late to the party and blown away by this. I have a '73 F100 automatic. How do I handle the column shift on my old column? Does it matter when installing this?
