Is a 160 thermostat to low of a temp. for a 93 Mustang GT. I see factory is 195 I live in So. FL. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes. Put a 180 in it, you`ll be good to go. A 160 will most likely run too rich, drop in fuel economy.

160 will make the EEC "think" that the engine is still cold; thus keeping the mixture rich and timing conservative. Also, I believe the HEGO (O2 sensor) may not be read until ECT (engine coolant temp) reaches ~170, IIRC. I'd stick with what the factory specifies unless you have increased the compression ratio..and even then, a 180 would be the coldest that I'd run.

With a 160 the thing will never close once opened (while driving) unless you drive into a hurricane.....
