Hello all, thinking about buying another classic as an investment. And i saw this 54 F100, which has always been a dream shape of mine. Let alone a panel wagon/van/truck. (we call them panel vans here). Are they likely to hold a decent price? What are thjey worth over there? This one has a 292 Y block and manual, thats not original is it? What are problem areas with these? Anything to look out for? Only problem is its quite a way to view this car for me.

Let me know what you think

Well Coon, the Cyclone is worth "closer" to the asking price than the Panel is, that panel could likely be had here in the states for under $8,500.

That Cyclone being all original and documented would almost surely bring MORE than $7,500 just to start...

That's just my opinion though. Both are way over priced I think, even with Import tax and VAT...

If you have the money and if it is as good as the photos, jump on it.
I think that year you could get the 272 or 292 Y's. The flattie went away in 1953.

Too much rust for the money on that cyclone. If it was a big block car, then maybe but, doubtful.

Hmmm ok then. I have just bid 23k on it and its still not within 15% of reserve. Would the 4 speed box be original? And i cant tell from the photod, but is it floor or colomn change?
Thanks
