Hello Ed,

Welcome to the forum. From your description, it sounds like you are describing a 1-2 flare which may or may not be normal depending on magnitude.

I offer the advice of my mentor Fred: "Do everything that should have been done 6 months ago and see if you still have the problem"

I am sure you realize that these old cars are miraculous in that they function as well as they due with no electronics. Fluid pressures, linkage adjustments, and vacuum modulator adjustments are all key.

I would check all vacuum lines and make sure everything is connected correctly. maybe replace the lines if they are old.

Go through the rigging procedure for the linkage and see if you still have the problem. If you caught me ten years ago I would have had a nice transmission for you :)

Best of luck

Gorgeous - thanks for posting. Love those fender skirts and all the chrome looks great. Mine had a tough life in Brooklyn and it shows.

No, and try finding tail lights! I think I bought the last one available on the internet.
I honestly would get some bulk gasket material and cut some by hand using a utility knife.
Maybe something like this would work better if you can find it in a small sheet.
I have to order my tail lights from SPACEX
