Good Morning All. Ive replaced the entire Power Steering System on a 1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie 390. New Pump, Power Valve (2X), and Power Cylinder, pressure lines, basically everything except the reservior. The issue is that under prolonged driving power steering fluid leaks out of the reservior from the factory hole underneath the wingnut valley. Spring seems good in reservior and I have rubber washered both sides of the hole. Im confused.

Had leaking with mine when I tried to run without the filter element, found a element and leaking pretty much stopped. It always had a damp spot around the wing nut though.

Odd that it still leaks. I haven't gotten round to puting another filter in mine yet and it does seem to stay a bit moist in the center or that's just from my messes filling it all the time. Maybe try a little sealer on the threads where the washer goes around it or something. Maybe the oil is traveling up the threads as it circulates.
