It's been at the interior shop for about three weeks now. The guy said he thought it would be done by today.
Waiting for a phone call from him.

Got the new Bumpers and installed the brackets.
Also got a woodgrain Shelby style steering wheel from Dearborn Classics.
Sprayed a finish on that last night.

Can't wait to get it back so I can finish it and get to driving it!

Well, after about three weeks at the upholstery shop, I finally have some interior progress pics.

Stopped by today for a look see.
It's kinda deceiving, but they are almost done.
New carpet and kick panels are in.
Door panels, seats, rear panel etc, done and ready to be installed. windshield guy is scheduled for tomorrow morning.

Had a little hiccup with another interior fella who lost some of the parts (new window cranks, door handles, dome light etc) but he got them reordered and they are supposed to be here at noon tomorrow.

Could be cruising in it as early as Wed evening.
we'll see.

Got a call from the windshield installer this morning.
Went to install the glass at the upholstery shop.

Turns out that glass in the box isn't a front windshield for 63 Ford Falcon.
Not even close apparently.

The guy ran the pat number through the data base.

59 El Camino rear window.

Went down to the upholstery shop this afternoon.
All that's left is the seatbacks and then installing them.
As soon as the windhield gets in it'll be installed and we'll be ready to go.

The seats are finished.
They were installing them when I stopped by Yesterday.
The seat on the drivers side looks like it's leaning a bit, because it is. They just set it in there to give an idea of what it will look like.

Sweet ride. I'm stoked to see another V8 4 speed car in Wimbleton white.
But why remove the bench seat? How are you gonna get your arm around your girl with her sitting on the other side of the car?
I ditched my bucket seats just for that reason!
A 3 pedal car with a hot V8 and your arm around your girl, that my friends is the good life! :D

Orthmann,
What is the B/S on your torque thrust II wheels and what size tires are you running?

Butch,

Wheels are 15x7. Guy ordered em for his Crapmaro and the factory sent FoMoCo bolt pattern.
So I scored on that.
Can't remember the tire size off the top of my head, I will check when I get home.

The rear fenders were rolled, so we were able to get the 7 inchers in there.
