My 1964 Mercury Montclais has the 2 barrel 266 hp big block FE engine. The car has sat for twenty years, since July of 1986. I've only had it a week. I started it up Saturday, 2 days ago, and I heard what I thought might have been piston rings scraping on the drivers side of the engine. But when I sat inside the car, the noise sounded almost like a flywheel problem. I have a short video of me starting the car on my Youtube channel, Southern Mechanics.
