no work on the falcon wednesday, it was too cold for me & turned into a couch potato day... hate it when that happens, but it does every so often...

the first couple of weeks (august '22) into this car consisted of just dismantling and seeing what all i thought had to be done or replaced, and what it might cost... i took many pics as reference in case i ever actually got it back together... here are a few more >

this pic makes me wonder if it's possible to reuse an original '65 fuel tank?
anyone ever try that?

I reused mine. It was pretty good shape but had 2 rust pinholes close together on the bottom. I drilled them up and made a backing plate for the inside. Welded nuts to the backing plate, saturated it with poly sealant, and snaked it into place with a piece of safety wire. Gooped up two machine screws and tightened it up.

I always try to remember that this old stuff was assembled by humans so I am confident I can get it back together. You are going to want all that interior out because it looks like that steel dash needs paint too. You can do it.
