2-427 ford engines

1966 427 side oiler, original "SOHC" block...now is a medium riser the big port heads, balanced and blueprinted, still has the "SOHC oil pan & "$" stamped crank", with LaMans rods, everything done professionally. This engine has been bored .030 thousand over and has about 6 minutes on it. built for pro-stock racing.

1967 center oiler, with medium riser heads and is built for street race. This engine has lots of BLING, chrome carbs, chrome water pump, chrome oil pan, chrome valve covers, chrome fuel canister....and was built professionally and balanced and blueprinted. Will be dynoed soon, should give approximately 450-500 hp. Comes with 4-speed transmission, has 3 low gears and 1 high gear,,, like an overdrive...

What I should have posted is 1967 TOP OILER (aka CENTER OILER?)

The last 427 TOP OILER I am aware of was early 1965 production run, unless what he is describing is actually a 1968 427 service block.

Re: 1967 427 side oiler.... for sale

1967 427 "Cammer block"(SOHC original block), this 'side oiler', has the special "dollar stamped crank" which is a special alloy forging. the rods are 'Le Mans' being special forged beam cap screw rods. The pistons are .030 over Super Pro forging. The engine has a General Kinetics solid lifter Cam, 296 degree duration, .530" lift and 114 degree lobe separation. It is a super street or super stock class cam, the springs are 250lb spring weight, has special titanium valve keepers and 10 degree locks. The heads are 6080 High Performance ford medium riser castings with the biggest 428 Cobra Jet valves that could be put in them. They are 70cc giving a nominal 11.5:1 comp ratio combined with a low .010" piston/ deck clearance. This engine should hit 500-525 HP with a single 900 cfm carb.

It has been balanced and blueprinted.

for more info call Reg 250-379-2971, the motor is sitting in Windsor, Ontario

KULTULZ, you 're right it was a marine block. I was unaware until i learned more, thanks for pointing it out. Apartently this doesn't matter as I have had everything done and she goes like a son of a bitch!!!
I have another 427 ford engine that I have done my homework, it's a 1967 side oiler and was originally SOHC out of a 1967 comet. I am not looking to cheat anyone or be a scam ... this engine can be viewed in Windsor Ontario.
I don't know how to put pictures on here yet but I can email them?
Thanks for your time.

Hey, no problem.

I thought maybe it was one of the 1968 service blocks.

If you want, E-MAIL me the pics and I will get them up for you. Casting I.D. Nos. will help your sell also. Being a SOHC block, does it have the additional oil drain hole(s) in the block? I would think that what you have is worth big $$$.
