After struggling to understand why I was unable to hook up a 1973 dual diaphram booster's rod to the brake pedal in my '72 sport, I discovered my original 4 speed car brake pedal has the stud for the booster rod about 2" higher up, I can only guess because of it originally being a non-power assist car.
All of my service books call out the same part number for the brake pedal for both power and non-power assisted brakes.
Any ideas why the two locations for the stud?
I can only guess, possibly the original higher stud location was for more leverage on the non-power brakes?
