Welcome! Let us know what the ET and MPH are with the fixed converter. You're doing well right now, as 97 MPH should be high 13s. Has the combo been tuned at the track yet? Do you have a slip to post or info from it?

all i have done was change jets to make it run fatter. i have not done any thing with the timing but change the spring to make it have more timing. i set it at 15 degress and the springs and bushings add a timing. i used the 2 springs that gives its timing the fastest and the bushings that gives it the like 28. the truck is like 3280 pounds so that my be y the mph is so low. the timing slips i have i did not keeep them. when i get every thing fixed im going to dyno it. on the passes it did it did not even go into 3 rd gear on them passes.

a lot has changed. the motor had got hot and found the heads was trash. i went from a hyd roller to a .675/.675 lift solid roller, dart pro 1 195 heads non ported. i also found that the transmission had a crack in it. i had the tq conv rebuilt. the motor made 508 [email protected],500 on a motor dyno.

sorry took so long. this is the shop that done the headers. I would look for someone else to build them they took a lot longer than what they said. I took them pictures of long tube headers and they made shorty headers. they are 1 3/4 headers and if I had it to do over again I would do the wide exhaust pattern headers. they are a pain to install. I had to cut the headers to single tube headers to install them faster.

Thanks for sharing the photo's. Those headers came out awesome, do you think they can make another set without having ny truck there? I would do like you sai though and go with the wider bolt pattern. Do you remember what you paid to have them done?

I had the header flanges and they did the pipe off the flange. I had the collectors also. its was like 1400.00 to build the headers and another 300-350 to have them coated if I remember right. so it was like 250+1400+300 to build them . I don't think they could copy a set to fit your truck because if you did not have the same motor mounts or your motor set different it would not work. on the passenger side they hit the truck and knocked the floor up to build the header. Im not sure why they just did not make the header clear .

made it to the track and the 3:55 gears and 28 tall tire sucks still. it best pass was [email protected]. shifted into 3rd gear then the track was over. I have a few things going on now so I have to wait but I think im going to go get a 9 inch with 4:30 gears and some slicks

Nice! With your shrinking ETs, what are you planning for required safety equipment?

best pass so far but the tail shaft housing broke. I'm fixing the angle and tail shaft. going to take it to the dyno to make sure A/F is safe.
