I have a 69 torino. putting a 428 4 speed in. Car has a 28 spline axle and housing in it. I found a 31 spline trac lock third member. Can I order 31 spline axle shafts and go to a bearing store to match bearing to fit housing or do I have to change the housing???

I AM THINKING THEY USE THE SAME BEARING.

The axle is bigger where the bearing goes on
I ve swiched back and forth between 28-31s in my 67FB.
