The car has a stock 289 with 53,000 original miles and a remanufactured dbl FoMoCo carburater. Budget wise its really just one piece at a time so any and every idea you can think of would be helpful.

TW 170 heads or AFR 165, RPM or Stealth Intake, Holley carb. Solid flat tappet cam for best performance on a buget or spend the extra and go Hydraulic Roller. Cloyes double roller Chain with iron cam sproket. 1.6 ratio full roller rocker arms,Standard volume melling oil pump. That Would be a strong runner on a budget. Just make sure whatever cam you use the Valve springs in the heads are correct.

Do you want a cruiser or a street racer or drag car? Is it an automatic or manual? Need more information to help you out.

I want a cruiser that could have an attitude if it wants it. It's an automatic. Shifter is on the column. Will be moving it to the floor and using a b&m z gate shifter.
