Hello, I have a 76 ford maverick with a 302 v8, im making a bunch of upgrades and im wondering about my pushrod length, my set up is
Xtreme comp cam 284 intake at 541 lift and 296 exhaust at 544
210cc Speedmaster aluminum heads with adjustable rocker arms, longer valves and dual spring set up
My stock pushrod lenght is 6.907 or something like that, i was wondering, if with this set up, my pushrod lenght is going to increase or decrese, the engine is a hydraulic flat taper fully rebuild, new pistons, new rods, new cylinder walls, machined crank, I need to know cause I'm going to purchase a pushrod length checker but I want to know what range of size I choose

I just measured my old rail type 302 pushrod at 6.894…. Pretty close to yours..Seems like the checker rods have a pretty wide range but I am not any kind of knowledge base.
I wonder if the 6.5-7.5 would be suitable. I received my long block project and it had a bunch on bent push rods so I just used a couple of the straighter ones and couple used ones and used them to measure the collapsed lifter valve lash then started looking thru the available length options from Summit and Jegs and picked a set that fell in middle of valve lash min-max dimension. Will see what happens once we get the rest of the clutch and pulley stuff figured out.
