Guys can anyone help,
building stroker, 351 roller block, will use old style rotation water pump and pulley setup, do i use a 28 0r 50 oz balancer can it be an old style (early 70s) or late (94)

please help as im in Australia and these motors arent plentiful

All 351's, regardless of year, are 28 oz/in imbalance. The only engine that changed was the 302 (5.0L) it changed to 50 oz in 1981.

You can use the early damper if you want to and it makes your pulley's line up.

BTW, I have seen some mail order companies use a 50oz balancer on a 351 stroker to make it easier and *cheaper* for them to balance. The stroker crank throws the whole balance thing out the window anyway. I wouldn't do it though. Seems to be corner cutting to me.

Yep, use the 28 oz. I've got one thats made in Australia. Cyco Systems. Over here its marketed by Pro Race. #64269
It fits 3 and 4 bolt pulleys.

How well does your Pro-Race balancer work? I'm in the market for a new one on my '70 351w and I can't decide if I should get a stock one or aftermarket.
