Are there any recommended oiling mods that need to be done to prep a 351W for circle track racing. I know the Cleveland engines have oil galley restrictors and a front to rear bypass hose. How do the two systems compare?

The 2 oil systems are totally different. The Windsor doesn't seem to need much to make it work. I've raced a 351W for quite a while now and haven't had oiling problems. Use a good pan and a windage tray. I've played with different oil levels and have found that it is quite critical.....too much oil and it seems to foam up, making the lifters start clattering, not enough and the pressure drops in the corners. I hope this helps.

I feel that rear sump is better as the oil runs to the back under acceleration so you may as well have the pick up at the back.
Front or rear usually depends on what fits in the car though.
