Just looking for some input for the cam timing on my cleveland. I am going to use this cam with aussie 2v's a weind xcellerator manifold and I have a holley 650cfm carb:
Int./Exh: Adv. Dur. 278°/290° , Dur. @ .050” 222°/234°. Lift: .539”/ .534
Float is at 6500 rpm
power from 2200-5200 rpm
If I retard the timing that will shift my powerband up right? Will it also shift the float rpm up?
I'd like make some useable power at the high end, near 6000, but will shifting the powerband up defeat the purpose of the 2V CC heads and would it just be better to run advanced and get it all in sooner? the timing chain set I have is an edelbrock, it has 2deg advance, retard? Maybe just straiht-up is the way to go...?
