I'm looking at buying a 83F150 4x4 which has a 351c in it. My question is, which bellhousing does the 351c use? I've heard small block and I've heard big block. The reason being is because the motor has a bad knock to it. I've got a couple of small block I could put in right away. But if it's big block I've have to wait to get the 460 from my brother truck when he replaces it sometime in the next month.

I haven't really looked at it too hard. I just know the body is perfect rust free condition and I can get it cheap. I know the 351c isn't original though.

Double-check that it is not a 351M- The different belhousing on the M vs the C caused me a lot of heartache...
