Are those -70 351w heads any better than my current -78 heads.
My engine is mostly stock -78 351w sitting in Ranchero -78.

Does those -70 heads flow better or have smaller combustion chamber than -78 heads.
Where to find more data/info?

Thanks!

69-74 351W heads with numbers C90E-B,D...D0OE-C,G...D0OZ-C all have 60.4cc chambers with 1.84 int and 1.54 exh valves. 75-77 heads D5TE-EB are the same but have internal air injector ports. the 78-80 heads D8OE have 69cc chambers with 1.78/1.45 valves and are the same as the 302 heads from 78-80.

Thanks,

I bought those heads for about $150, they came with "new" crane valve springs.
How much porting would be enough for 300hp?
Or should I just follow that fordmuscle porting article?
Those exhaust "air injection" bumps are pretty scary in size.. no wonder that stock exhaust ports don't flow much
