A lot of engine builders don't suggest full grove mains. They feel it takes away valuable bearing surface in the main cap area. They instead use what is called a 3/4 grove main bearing.
I've never heard of a full groved rod bearing, not saying there isn't one or never has been one. But, I wouldn't want one. The bearings in the rods are skinny enough now.
f anything, have your crank cross-drilled so the rod bearing gets oiled twice on each revolution.
