hey all might be a silly question.

I currently have a 302 in my 69. was wondering if a 351w will fit in there, if not what would be involved in making it fit.

I am wanting to do a stroker in the near future, just wasn't sure if I should stay with a 302 and spend the money to do a 363 or do the 408w.

I would rather do the 408w if the 351 is no issue.

thanks alot any help will be greatly appreciated

Mine fits in a 65. Just finished a stoker kit. With headers its tight. I have a cut up set of headers in mine. Made it work

No problem with the '69, some put 460's in them.

Thanks alot guys!! this was really helpful. I was really hoping to be able to do the 408!

think it would be much better for me than dishing out for the aftermarket 302 blocks haha.

I'd stuff a 460 stroker in it. They aren't that much more and the power and torque would be second to none! As long as it's all apart you could even do some fender notching for even more clearance.

John

haha yeah would be nice but i think i may stick with getting the 408 from fordstrokers. running a 302 i have now and save up a bit then sell for the shortblock. maybe even the do it yourself
