If anyone has ever done this, I could use some help! The long (6-8&quot
bolt that is threaded on both ends is too small to fit in the 351w heads. just to be sure, i tried it back in the 289 heads and it fits. So the 351W uses either a different bracket or larger bolt to attach the p/s unit....
Anyone been down this road?????????

I haven't done this personally yet but I have seen lots of 351s with a little aluminium bracket that is bolted onto the front of the head and relocates the hole down a little bit to compensate for the 351s taller deck height.I had just the opposite problem on my 68 stang with 69 302 heads the threaded hole was too big,so I think they changed the size of the bolt holes for different years as well.

I have one of those (small triangular, made iron, with two holes) this was attached to the 351 head but on the other side, where the alt goes...If this doesn't work, what can I do. Surely there has to be a bracket to buy. I guess if worse comes to worse, I could have a machine shop make me a bolt that will fit....
