I'm thinking about swapping out the 302/C4 for a 390/C6 in my '68 Fairlane.
I've got a C6 trans. in the garage, does the 390 require a special bellhousing?

And what about the driveshaft, it'll probably need to be replaced with a different length right? The car has an 8" rear in it.

Yes the Fe style bellhousing is a different bolt pattern than a small block C-6(if thats what you have) so you will need a C-6 specifically for an FE engine.I think the driveshaft will probably need to be shortened but not 100% sure on that one.
