yes and no. Some of the cast and hyperutectic pistons will need to be clearanced on the bottom of the pin bosses. Either that or grind the counterweights on the crank a little.

But yes, a 393 uses 1.600" compression height pistons--same as a 302.

You might want to also look into the compression...

FT's on a 302 are streetable, FT's on a 3.85" = 12:1 (usually)

If you're going to run it on pump gas figure you'll need a dish but the 1.6" compression height '302' pistons are the correct ones.
