Which stroker of the two is better? Which stroker of the two should i go with, i already have victor jr. heads, victor jr. intake, and 750 mighty demon carb. This will be a street/strip car, mostly strip. I want something that will last.
please let me know what you think thanks.

not alot of difference between the two. strokes are almost the same, as are the bores. depending on your budget, either one will work about the same. a similar comparison is teh 289 vs the 302.

either is a good choice. The 408's seem to work better on the strip than the 393's around here, but maybe it's just because of the different ways they've been built. Your choice...393 is EASY to build.

408 has a 3,8 percent volume benefit compared to 393.Not much but anyway a bigger motor provides more low/midrange torque. I dont think you would see any noticeable difference in power above 4500-5000 rpm, provided the rest of the parts would be the same. If the 408 produces more torque in the lower rpm range, the 393 revs higher and produces about same amount of peak power.
My 393 has all the tq I need, will light the tires in 1, and 2nd gear even with 5 onboard...
393 is a very straightforward combination. It is easy to build. When I built my motor , it was slightly difficult to find suitable pistons for a 408, compression was either too low or too high. With a 393 the SRP pistons were in- stock items at Flatlander Racing and give a 10,8 compression - ideal for the street.
