Hi Guys,

I now have the bottom end of my 393W build complete & am about to start the build of the top end. Can anyone advise a logical sequence to this build or recommend a good article?

I will be installing a fully built set of AFR 185's & I will also be fittings a set of scorpion 1:6 billet rockers.
The cam is a comp cams XE284 hydraulic flat tappet.

My priorities are:

Establishing correct pushrod length, (already have an adjustable pushrod length checker).

Checking piston to valve clearance, I understand the best method is with the use of modelling clay?

Setting up correct lash.

Setting up correct valve train prior to my first dyno pull.

I have a vague understanding of the theory behind the processes above but need some technical guidance detailing the logical steps required & also the detail surrounding the steps above..

Its a big ask but am hoping somebody can advise me to allow me to complete the top end build as well as I have hopefully built the bottom end!!

Cheers,

Martyn.

Hi Guys, Jam,
Thanks for the info.
To answer Jams question the rockers are 7/16 stud mount.
