You didn't mention your rpm at the end of the track.
Anyone that recommends a gear change without knowing the capabilites of your engine, what tires (diameter) and your max rpm ... is guessing. For the amount of money you'll spend to change gears, it's not something worth guessing about. What you might do, as a test, is borrow a set of shorter tires, that'll make the engine "see" tighter gears, you can figure out the effective ratio, there are a number of sites that offer math calculators that can help.
Just changing gears, "Because"... is not likely to produce the results you are looking for. You only need more gear...if ... you have more "engine" left at the end of the track. Yu can tune your car with tires easier, cheaper than with gears. After you are sure it will handle the gear, then make the change and put back your taller wheel/tires.
