Will only work "as-is" behind a pre-mid 65' big block (or the same year's small block with a special extended pilot bearing.)

Later year's require a different case, a modified bell, or a scattershield to bolt it on.

The trans in question is a very early toploader with the original narrow bolt pattern... 1964 only, Ford very quickly added wings to the main case with both the wide and narrow bolt pattern from 65-73.
