Hi all

I have a 351W with compression 10.5:1, Edelbrock victor jr. edelbrock intake., MSD 6AL, Holley 750 CFM, tremec 6 speed and 3.89 rear gearing.

The car is for street use, but also ekstreme 40-150 mph.

It's not a every day driver,

What hydraulic roller cam would you recommend?

The engine is at this stage pulling 376 HP at the rear wheels. Don't know the number of the cam. but the idle is very smooth.

Thanks

Rather than tell you specific cam to get, I'll just say that the stroking to 427 makes a 351W cam 'softer' by 300-500 rpm due to the additional displacement and sharper intake pulses related to piston speed. In effect, it moves the useful rpm range lower, especially at low rpms. So, I would choose whatever cam you like with a power band that considers that. Perhaps a cam that pulls from 3000-6500 in a 351W so your useful range is 2300ish to 6000-6200 rpm. I would not rev the 427 too high as it is easy to exceed critical piston speed with shorter rod strokers unless built specifically for it. Use the displacement rather than rpms to get there.
