428 C.J. rod bearings
After all this time of driving, the oil pressure on my 1970 seems to be a bit lower once the engine gets warmed up. When I rebuilt the engine decades ago, the clearances on the crankshaft seemed a bit broad to my way of thinking, and that may be one reason for the lower numbers presently.
At time of rebuild, the original connecting rod bearings were C6JE-6211-AB and what I installed were TRW CB 952P bearings. The TRW bearings were chosen because the locking tab is on correct side. However, they resulted in a bit too much oil clearance right off the bat. They also had an extra dowel hole which I did not need.
Is there another bearing number (in undersize) that I had ought to be looking for?
Wm.
