Does anyone know where to purchase the spacer (aftermarket) that gets installed on the firewall when converting from Power Brakes to Manual since the tall valve covers will contact the Brake Booster. I have the '79 manual master cylinder, just need the obsolete spacer or an aftermarket one so Master Cylinder has the correct space and angle. Any info appreciated. Thx.

Go to the junkyard and get one out of an early Fairmont or Mustang up to 82.You could get manual brakes in those years. Make sure you get the brake pedal also as they are a different geometry for more leverage. They also bolt up in a higher set of holes under the dash. That's what I put in my 89 LX. Cost me about $10 versus around $100 for aftermarket unit.

One more thing, you can use a Ranger master cylinder,it puts the brake lines out on the drivers side for more header/valvecover clearance.
