My '63 Falcon has an '87 5.0 in it. I recently bought a '90 Mark VII with a 5.0. The guy who sold my the Lincoln said it was about 30 H.P. diffence over a Mustang 5.0. Mustang guys say he's full of sh**, that they are both the same. Anyone have any info to help solve this? Thanks for any feedback. Sam

i looked it up on carpoint.com and they only go to '88, but the '88 5.0 and the '90 5.0 have the same stuff, 225hp, and 300 tq. But carpoint is not the most accurate, and like i stated it was a '88 model

They are both the same. The mustang 5.0 and the lincoln mark vii's have the same HO 5.0.
