Im wondering if there was a 600cfm (or close) 2 barrell FoMoCo carburetor. I think they were the 2 barrells off the 390's and FE's. I have an edelbrock 600 now and it sucks off road! Does anyone know the cfm's of the ford 2 barrells? Thanks

I think the biggest 2 barrel is from a 1973 429. I don't know the cfm but I don't think it would be anywhere close to 600. Pony carbs might have the answer.

I don't know about other styles, but in the 2100 series of 2V carbs, the largest was made in 1966, and it was about 424 CFM. On the side it had the marking of the fuel bowl it was marked 1.33 (it's venturi size). The largest venturi size I saw listed for a 429 was in 1970, it was a 1.23 venturi, and that is about 356 CFM (I got these numbers out of the Pony Carburetors Ford Carburetor Guide). You may still be able to find a rebuildable one on Ebay. If not, PonyCarbs is a very good source for restored units if you don't feel like rebuilding one yourself.
