Hello, I can't get my rear view mirror tight, its like a split mount with a upper screw and a lower screw, it's a phillip head screw that's beveled on the end, I can get it as snug as I can and it still moves when I'm driving, thanks in advance.

No kidding? I've been dealing with the loose fit mirror for years. It seems it needs to be readjusted every time I go over a bump. I'll have to give that a try!

OK I guess take both screws out and it comes apart

Believe it or not a small amount of grinding compound on each ball will hold it firm also.

They make replacement pieces that hold the ball of the mirror. It could be that piece has been tightened to the limit over it's lifetime.

But I think the very simple solutions above should work just fine.

Shoot I need to do the same! Mine creeps down also. Never thought to ask or even really thought about it til reading this.
