I have 15 x 6 steel wheels with 3 3/4 backspacing. How tall a tire can I put on without them rubbing when turning.
I see the stock tire size was a 750-14 [26.8 inches tall]. And the 427's had a stock tire size of 670-15 [27.5 inches] and the convertible 427 had stock 710-15 [28 inches].
What size is everyone getting away with on the front? I have 275-60-15 on 15 x 8 steel wheels with 4 1/2 inch backspacing that seem to fit the rear good.
Also does anyone have picture of their steering stops on their 427 cars they can post?

I don't have a picture. But let me see what I can do this week end.
A member on facebook said Mike's Classic Cars had some. I called him and he had one set left so I have them coming.
I would appreciate a picture of them on the car though.
Thank you
