I am looking for a disc brake conversion kit for my 63 galaxie. One of the kits I am considering is made by SSBC. SSBC says the front will not work with the factory sway bar because the calipers are mounted on the front of the spindle and will hit the sway bar when the wheels are turned.
I read a thread saying that the calipers can be moved to the back of the spindle by reversing the mounts thus solving this problem. Has anyone done this? Will the brakes still function properly?
Is there an after market swaybar that could be used to keep the calipers on the front of the spindle?
Does anyone have a recommendation on another kit manufacturer?
