I have a 64 Meteor (yep that's right a Meteor) with a 352cid 2 barrel (FE series) and I'm wondering if I can just take a 390cid intake (FE series) and bolt in on, or are/is there a difference in bolt pattern and ports etc? Next spring I am planning on going with long tube 2" headers with dual exhaust, I know this is only a start at improving HP as a cam, better heads + pistons will go much further.

should be able to put a 390 intake on the 352. However, the 352 will not give you the same power as a 390 as it has a smaller stroke and bore and smaller valves. think it becomes a 360.

The 352's bore and stroke is 4.00 x 3.50. The 360's (truck engine) is 4.05 x 3.50. The 390's is 4.05 x 3.78. So you'll have a 4 barrel 352, which was available OE from the factory in 1958 - 1960, and '64 - '66.

360 is basically a de-stroked 390(same bore/piston), using shorter stroke 352 crank and connecting rods.
also lower compression
