Thanks for the add to the group. Let's start out with something really simple..... Going to reupholster the seats but temporarily I need a temporary fix to span the rip in the driver's cloth cover. There are a gazillion bench covers out there but each seems to have its negative reviews for one reason or another. Is there any out there that anyone has found durable that would last me a couple of years while I take care of the more important fixes? Not looking for dirt cheap, but not a several hundred dollar cover either. I have a '64 front bench seat. Thanks

your seat cover holds the padding in. if you don't address the rip, you'll end up with a big hole you fall into. putting a cover over it won't keep it from happening
I was actually considering sewing it but was unsure the success of doing so based on the amount of pressure on the cloth over the cushion
