So, after hours of tinkering with no avail, I can't figure out what I did wrong or the correct way to set this up. I'm trying to swap out the stock generator for a 1g ford alternator I had got for cheap, so I bought what looked like an alternator bracket that would fit. And here I am with it all installed, the adjustment all the way out and there is no way in hell that I am going to be able to install the fan belt with the way it is right now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, or any tips maybe a link to a correct bracket if im wrong.

Key info:
-Generator to alternator conversion
-1964 small block, 289
- pictures attached in my attempt at installation
- alternator bracket used https://www.amazon.com/SMALL-BLOCK-...&keywords=small+block+ford+alternator+bracket

Is your crank pulley just a single one? You might could get a double pulley for the crank also if you don't have the space to move the alternator back further. I have a double pulley, well one is pulley the other is the damper which is also a pulley.
