Does anybody know what treatment the factory gave the passenger side fender when the car was ordered radio delete? I'd like to know if the antenna hole was in the fender and covered with an antenna-delete plate, or if the fender had no hole at all. Hope somebody who has such a car or has seen an unaltered one can comment. Thanks!

That makes sense. My '65 had the original AM radio and factory antenna, but the hole in the cowl for the antenna wire, below the fender hole, was crudely punched with some kind of chisel or punch and hammer. Certainly not a factory looking job. Makes sense that they did them at the dealer with factory parts, but without a convenient way to get a hole in the cowl underneath.

I noticed lots of crudely punched '65-6 holes, too, out at our local salvage yard yesterday (they have 8 '65-6 Fords, 6 '65-6 Merc's). One good thing to come out of it, I took particular note of a '65 2dr Custom that I'd passed by repeatedly and noticed that when somebody took the speedometer out they just casually tossed the radio delete dash plate, radio hole cover and clear plastic lens into the back seat where they were covered up with dirt. All in PERFECT condition, bought them for $2 (yes, TWO dollars)! The good Lord got a bunch of hosannas from me yesterday!!!!
