converted front drums to disk bolt on kit, installed new mc and booster, the problem is the new push rod from the booster has little to no movement on the brake switch. replaced switch with new. same problem. any advice? Thanks
That seems odd. The pedal end of the push rod ought to be squared off. The switch then is usually spring loaded and rubs against the square end. Most times I find the switch to be too touchy, and lights the rear at the slightest tap of the foot, even before the brake shoes begin to rub.
Is the nylon shim beside the switch installed on the shaft for the pedal? If it is missing sometimes this allows the pushrod to deflect enough that it may not push the switch. Ask me how I know! Hello Officer...what my brake lights aren't working???? Stu
