Howdy all, I've slowly been replacing the steering parts in my '65 Ranchero. A lot of it wasn't original for whatever reason. Most of it's done and today I got the lower control arms in.

Is there anything I should know as far as safety issues when swapping the old for the new? It looks pretty simple. No coil springs sittin' on them etc. I should just have to pickle fork the lower joint, unbolt the torsion rods, sway bar and remove the control arm to frame bolt. Not necessarily in that order but you get the idea,

Thanks,
Hacko

Did you attempt to do this yet?

If you look at a repair manual, and you should. It will show you drawing of a tool to make to support the upper control arm and spring. It wedges between the UCA and the frame rail.

Just a thought. At least I think that's what its for.
