I have a 65 Tbird 390 that has been converted to a 2 barrel carb and electronic ign. I'm told this was done in the 70's during the energy crisis to save fuel. I want to replace the carb since its already been through a couple rebuilds and shows its age. Any suggestions. 2100-2150?

You might consider if investing in a new carb to simply revert to 4V. The investment increase would be minimal, but would increase value considerably. If your foot is uncontrollable; in order to run as a 2V for economy, simply disconnect the linkage to the rear two barrels. There are many more 4Vs to choose-from, including the very popular (but incredibly expensive) rebuilt 4100s, the Summit 500 (factory equivalent) or 600 (if driving 2V), and many more.

Related trivia: The Summit M2008 series is an updated Holley design (spawning the 4010 series) from when Holley purchased the rights to the 4100 from Autolite, licensed by Summit and uses common and interchangeable Holley parts.
