Hello, I have a 66 Galaxie with power Drum brakes. I have been told my Booster is bad. The pedal is extremely hard to push. The brake system is 100% new including the check valve and grommet, except the booster. I have the Midland Clamp type. I am having a hard time finding a replacement. Can I replace it with the Bendix type as long as it is for drum brakes? Does anyone have a lead on a good deal for a replacement.

Thanks

Although it probably is - I would verify the booster is bad. With the engine off, press and hold the brake pedal. Start the engine. The pedal should "sink" a bit under your foot when the engine starts if it's good.
