After doing a simple, no frills rebuild, I have no reverse or 3rd gear. I re-adjusted both bands to eliminate that possible cause, and then I did an air pressure test. Both servos operate normally and the forward clutch has the "dull thud" as it should but when I hit the reverse high clutch passage with compressed air, It's as if it were a blind hole, in other words no response at all. No movement, no noise, nothing. This was the most critical of the air check because of the conditions of no rev or 3rd in terms of functionality points in the direction of a nonfunctioning reverse high clutch piston.

I'm looking for a bit of feedback from you guys on other possibilities before I tear it down again to check the piston seals.

Your thoughts please,
