Found a 66 Merc. Marauder with an FE but can't tell what cid it is. Are the engine codes for Merc the same as Ford (5th digit in the vin)? Any one know a Mercury site with a vin decoder if not.

And what Fomoco cars could I find a Big bearing 9" drum brake rearend with the 5 lug car bolt pattern? Got some junk yard shopping to do.

Thanks.

Do you even have to ask the board? I probably have what you are looking for. The best cars are the coil spring cars from '65 to about '80 or so. The big Mercs and Lincolns will have the 5 x 5 pattern, so Torinos,Rancheros,Elites etc. will have the rear you need.

I know I can call you, I figured that the answer would help out if anyone else was wondering also. A lot of my questions get answers after someone else ask's first. You'll be geting a call next week.
