Hey Gang,

Just wanted to check in with the Gen 1 Torino Fans to see whom you've been sourcing your chrome pieces from?

The usual providers have been a source of some of the easy stuff...But I'm in need of the Banana Piece on the forward side of the C-pillar...and rear deck center piece and the GT Medallion.

I'd like to find these...as I'm confident a restoration of the origional stuff is going to be just as expensive as buying NOS or Re-Pops of these items.

I have a good "driver" GT Emblem for a fastback. It has no pitting and coud be re-chromed if your interested.
I'm interested..lets talk
Beware of 're-pop' stuff....it does not fit like genuine NOS FoMoCo stuff.
I bought some stuff from Dearborn Classics, and the quality, fit and finish is crap! cheap flimsey Taiwan or China stuff that does not share the exact contour of the original parts!!

Are you asking for the checkerboard piece

No...The checkerboard piece is on the back of the 1969 model...The "Banana Piece is the forward edge of the C-Pillar. I've heard of those pieces costing in excess of $300 to have them re-done.

No worries there. I've heard nothing good about any of the aftermarket chrome too. I've seen the Re-Pop "Eye-Brow" pieces they offer...and the finish doesn't even come close to OEM....and I hear the fit is a joke too.
