I have a 1968 montego with manual brakes and a stick. Are the brake pedals the same for power and manual brakes, or do I need to get a new one if I convert over to power brakes? If so, does anyone have one or know where to get one...i.e. are the mustang pedals from 68 the same, because they look similiar.

I see no reason for the pedals to be diffrent except for the round chrome ring that sits inside the floor pedal that says "disc Brakes"...

The master cylindar will need to be switched, as well as a few other components I'm sure... There will be many answers to this post I'm thinking...

The pedal will probably work but they are different. They have different ratios due to the force required is more with manual brakes then power.

I was assuming they were different. I remember when my dad's 55 chevy was converted to power brakes we were able to drill a new hole (lower I think) to correct the ratio. I dont think I can do this as the pedals are different, But I am wondering If there is anyone on here who has a extra power brake pedal for stick shifts.
